Our Core Values
We are intentional in creating a fair and just environment–where all students have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances. Our excellence is measured by how well we support each other’s journey as researchers, students, staff, and faculty.
Welcome! On this site, you can learn about undergraduate programs that support inclusive student success; about structures and training that promote inclusive excellence in Life Sciences; and practical resources (safety/basic needs; wellness; academic/professional support; affinity groups) for all members of our community.
The Division of Life Sciences acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). As part of a California land grant institution, we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.
